| [00:37] | would certainly have softened the sleeping surface |
| [00:40] | and would actually have made this bed seem rather snug. |
| [00:46] | At the centre of it all, though, |
| [00:48] | was this spectacular dresser |
| [00:50] | on which our house-proud neolithic villagers |
| [00:52] | would have set out all of their most precious stuff. |
| [00:59] | Fine bone and ivory necklaces, |
| [01:02] | beautifully rolled and carved stone objects, |
| [01:05] | everything designed to make a grand interior statement. |
| [01:35] | Given the rudimentary nature of their tools, |
| [01:38] | it would have taken the villagers countless man-hours |
| [01:40] | to build not just these domestic dwellings, |
| [01:43] | but also the great circles of stone |
| [01:46] | where they would have gathered to worship. |
