Kingfisher blue flashes in flight |
Only seen through the shafts of light |
The fruits of your wood won't tempt her lips |
And kingfisher blue she's in love with you |
She carries the wood her face hidden by canopy and crown |
Of earth and light to brighten her darkest of frown |
She walks of the night and we will obey |
Before she steals us away and thankfully makes us hide |
Kingfisher blue flashes in flight |
Only seen through the brightest of light |
The running deer won't chase her away |
As you sit and wait for springs first summer day |
The fruits of your wood won't temp her lips |
As kingfisher blue she's in love with you |
