Life in New Zealand is pleasant enough |
When we turn 22 it's not violent enough |
We want fast pace & fast trains & |
Much bigger clubs |
We want money & kudos & |
Much stronger drugs |
We skimp we save we go overseas |
We pimp we slave so we get what we need |
When we get there we try very hard to believe |
That it's better |
When we go overseas to a much bigger place |
We still doing the same things |
But not with much space |
On the subways and airplanes |
There's no friendly faces |
We're working so hard |
That the history is wasted |
We skimp we save we go overseas |
We leave those behind who give us what we need |
In two years we return with a sigh of relief |
But we say it was better |
