Well I was raised on country classics |
| [00:22.35] |
Like Roy Acuff and George Jones |
| [00:28.40] |
Lord I loved to hear 'em |
| [00:31.32] |
Sing all them old time country songs |
| [00:37.32] |
But I really got excited 'bout the time I turned 15 |
| [00:41.75] |
That's the first time I heard Waylon and old Bocephus sing |
| [00:45.90] |
They put some drive in their country that really turned me on |
| [00:54.52] |
Yeah, put some drive in your country |
| [00:58.45] |
Keep country drivin' on |
| [01:03.76] |
When the music gets you movin' |
| [01:08.36] |
You know that can't be wrong |
| [01:12.96] |
Every time I hear that outlaw stuff on my car radio |
| [01:17.51] |
It makes me wanna drive it just as fast as it will go |
| [01:21.86] |
Put some drive in your country |
| [01:24.13] |
Let's keep country drivin' on |
| [01:26.35] |
|
| [01:30.22] |
We played some shows in Atlanta on Sunday afternoons |
| [01:39.73] |
The gigs were packed and I was nervous |
| [01:42.60] |
Cause I wanted folks to like my tunes |
| [01:48.38] |
The crowds were full of younger people |
| [01:52.98] |
They were all about my age |
| [01:53.13] |
So I turned and told the band just before we walked on stage |
| [01:57.46] |
Put some drive in your country fellas |
| [02:00.56] |
We turned those people on |
| [02:05.73] |
Yeah, put some drive in your country |
| [02:09.66] |
Keep country drivin' on |
| [02:15.09] |
When the music gets you dancin' |
| [02:18.69] |
You know that can't be wrong |
| [02:24.07] |
See I made myself a promise when I was just a kid |
| [02:28.27] |
I'd mix southern rock and country and that's just what I did |
| [02:32.38] |
Put some drive in your country |
| [02:35.17] |
Keep country drivin' on |
| [03:17.03] |
Put some drive in your country |
| [03:19.99] |
Hey, let's keep country drivin' on |
| [03:26.10] |
When the music gets you movin' |
| [03:30.18] |
You know that can't be wrong |
| [03:34.82] |
I still love old country |
| [03:37.36] |
I ain't tryin' to put it down |
| [03:39.51] |
Damn I miss Duanne Allman |
| [03:41.86] |
I wish he was still around |
| [03:43.98] |
Put some drive in the country |
| [03:46.17] |
Keep country drivin' on |
| [03:52.82] |
Put some drive in the country |
| [03:55.03] |
Let's keep country drivin' on |
