The Night Before Christmas |
' Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house, |
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. |
shèng dàn qián yè, méi yǒu yì diǎn dòng jìng, lián lǎo shǔ yě duǒ le qǐ lái |
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, |
In hopes that Saint Nicholas soon would be there. |
cháng wà guà zài yān cōng páng biān děng dài zhe shèng dàn lǎo rén de guāng gù |
The children were nestled all snug in their beds, |
While visions of sugarplums danced in their heads. |
xiǎo hái zài bèi zi lǐ nuǎn nuǎn dì shuì zháo le zài tián měi dí mèng zhōng chī zhe táng lǐ zǐ |
And mamma in her ' kerchief, and I in my cap, |
Had just settled our brains for a long winter' s nap. |
mā mā guǒ zhe wéi jīn, wǒ dài zhe mào zi, |
wǒ men gāng gāng cóng dōng jì de mèng zhōng xǐng lái |
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter, |
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter. |
cǎo yuán yuǎn chù chuán lái le huān xiào shēng, wǒ tiào qǐ lái xiǎng qù kàn gè jiū jìng |
Away to the window I flew like a flash, |
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash. |
wǒ shǎn diàn bān lái dào chuāng qián |
tòu guò chuāng mén xiàng yuǎn chù kàn qù |
The moon on the breast of the newfallen snow, |
Gave the luster of midday to objects below. |
yuè liàng zài xīn là xià de xuě huā de huái lǐ |
zhào liàng zháo dì shàng de wàn wù |
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear, |
But a miniature sleigh, and eight tiny reindeer. |
yǎn qián hái yǒu gēng xīn qí de dōng xī chéng xiàn |
yí gè xiǎo xuě qiāo, bā zhǐ xiǎo lù |
With a little old driver, so lively and quick, |
I knew in a moment it must be Saint Nick. |
More rapid than eagles his coursers they came, |
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name! |
hái yǒu yī wèi lǎo yé ye, rú cǐ qīng xī, rú cǐ zhī kuài |
wǒ zhī dào nà yí dìng shì shèng dàn lǎo rén |
bǐ yīng hái kuài |
tā chuī zhe kǒu shào, huān hū zhe, hǎn zhe tā men de míng zì |
" Now Dasher! Now, Dancer! Now, Prancer and Vixen! |
On, Comet! On, Cupid! On Donner and Blitzen! |
yǒng zhě men, wǔ zhě men, xù xù dáo dāo de nǚ rén men |
qiū bǐ tè zhī jiàn jiāng shè xiàng nǐ men |
To the top of the porch! To the top of the wall! |
Now dash away! Dash away! Dash away all!" |
dào mén shǎng qù, dào qiáng shǎng qù |
As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly, |
When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky. |
So up to the housetop the coursers they flew, |
With the sleigh full of toys, and Saint Nicholas, too. |
And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof |
The prancing and pawing of each little hoof. |
suǒ yǒu yī qiè bù xìng dū tǒng tǒng gǔn dàn |
jù fēng lái zhī qián, gān zào de yè zi zǎo yǐ fēi zǒu |
dāng yù dào zǔ ài, tā men fēi xiàng le tiān kōng |
fēi xiàng fáng dǐng |
dāng xuě qiāo shàng zhuāng mǎn le bù wá wa, shèng dàn lǎo rén jìn le |
jiù zài nà shí, wǒ tīng dào le fáng dǐng shàng de gē chàng |
měi gè fáng dǐng shàng dōu rè nao fēi fán |
As I drew in my head, and was turning around, |
Down the chimney Saint Nicholas came with a bound. |
wǒ shōu huí sī xù, xiàng zhōu wéi kàn le kàn |
shèng dàn lǎo rén yán zhe yān cōng xià lái le |
He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot, |
And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot. |
A bundle of toys he had flung on his back, |
And he looked like a peddler, just opening his pack. |
tā quán shēn dōu chuān zhe máo pí yī fú |
tā nà yī fú zǎo yǐ shī qù le guāng zé, bù mǎn le fēi chén hé yóu yān |
tā cóng shēn hòu ná chū yī dǎ wá wa |
tā xiàng yí gè xiǎo fàn, dǎ kāi zhe tā de bāo guǒ |
His eyes how they twinkled! His dimples how merry! |
His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry! |
His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow, |
And the beard of his chin was as white as the snow. |
tā de yǎn jīng shì nà me míng liàng, tā de jiǔ wō shì nà me tián měi |
tā de liǎn jiá xiàng méi guī, tā de bí zi xiàng yīng táo |
tā nà dī dī de zuǐ xiàng zài jū gōng |
tā de hú xū xiàng xuě huā yí yàng jié bái |
The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth, |
And the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath. |
He had a broad face and a little round belly, |
That shook when he laughed, like a bowlful of jelly! |
He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf, |
And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself! |
tā zuǐ lǐ diāo zhe yī gēn yān dǒu |
liáo liáo shēng qǐ de yān quān gěi tā wéi shàng le yí gè huā huán |
tā yǒu yī zhāng kuān kuān de liǎn hé yí gè yuán yuán de dǔ zi |
dāng tā dà xiào shí, yóu rú yī wǎn guǒ dòng zài yáo huàng |
tā tǐ tài fēng mǎn ér féi pàng, tā shì yí gè kuài lè de lǎo jīng líng |
dāng wǒ wàng zhe tā shí, wǒ hā hā dà xiào |
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head, |
Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread. |
He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work, |
And filled all the stockings, then turned with a jerk. |
tā de yí gè yǎn shén, tā de yí gè yáo tóu |
ràng wǒ zhī dào, méi yǒu shén me zhí de wǒ qù dān yōu |
tā méi yǒu shuō yí gè zì, zhǐ shì qù zuò tā de gōng zuò |
tā zhuāng mǎn de suǒ yǒu de cháng wà, rán hòu lā zhe chē zi zǒu le |
And laying his finger aside of his nose, |
And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose! |
mō mō bí zi, diǎn diǎn tóu, pá shàng le yān cōng |
He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle, |
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle. |
But I heard him exclaim, ' ere he drove out of sight, |
tā zuò zhe xuě qiāo, chuī zhe kǒu shào |
kuài lè dì lí qù |
dàn wǒ tīng dào le tā de shēng yīn |
" Happy Christmas to all, and to all a goodnight!" |
shèng dàn kuài lè, wǎn ān!" |
