Today we talked about many things |
Today I woke up to many things |
My day began in long confusion |
Struggling hard for some solution. |
My throat was tight, my eyes were blurred |
To no one could I say a word |
Feelings that would not subside |
Just kept tightening up inside. |
Watched you all and felt despair |
Yet loved you all for being there. |
And then we talked, you understood, |
I even started feeling good. |
"Sit down," you said, "talk it out" |
"No, I can't", "It's not so hard", |
"It's not so easy," "Come away" |
"That's what I need, that's waht I need to do", |
To the country in an open car, |
Wind in your hair, blowing forments far |
Behind your mind and far away, |
To where your bad dreams turn to clay, |
And as they slip I let them go |
And with relief the tears will flow, let's go. |
Today we talked about many things |
Today I woke up to many things |
You made me see how things could be |
With time to let these feelings free |
We have so many things to discover |
And they'll come if we help each other, |
Let's go |
