Pope John Paul has urged the ethnic groups of Bosnia-Herzegovina to put aside their differences and work toward a secure future. 

Speaking in the northern Bosnian city of Banja Luka, the Pontiff today also asks for God's forgiveness for the wrongs committed by Roman Catholics and others.

His one-day visit is aimed at furthering reconciliation among the country's Muslims, Catholic Croats and Orthodox Serbs.
