[00:31.18]And I just left Safeway, when I walked through my doorway. [00:37.05]When a guy took a boat to an island and shot up a bunch of little kids up in Norway. [00:43.36]Called a few of my friends round here, but no one much really cared. [00:49.00]But I did, because I've got a lot of friends there. [00:55.61]I just arrived in Seoul, by way of Beijing. [01:01.68]I had an hour to myself in my hotel when I turned on the TV. [01:07.55]It was quite a thriller, CNN was promoting the Batman killer. [01:14.29]His eyes were glazed like he was from Mars. [01:17.10]Yesterday he was no one, today he was a star. [01:20.53]I was down in New Orleans, at the Hotel Monteleone. [01:26.03]Enjoying some time all to myself when I turned the TV on. [01:32.36]There were shootings in a Portland mall. [01:35.26]It was everyday America and that's all. [01:38.61]It was just another one walked down Royal Street, the rest of the world was out having fun. [01:44.52]December fourteenth, another killing went down. 12 [01:50.18]I got a letter from a fan he said Mark say a prayer for Newtown. [01:56.44]I ain't one to pray, but I'm one to sing and play for women and children and moms and dads and brothers and sisters and uncles and aunts. [02:09.33]December twenty-fifth, and I was just laying down. [02:14.42]I picked up a pen, I wrote a letter to the guy in Newtown. [02:20.39]I said I'm sorry about the killings, and the teachers who lost their lives. [02:26.58]I felt it coming on, I felt it in my bones and I don't know why. [02:32.71]So when Christmas comes and you're out running around. [02:38.57]Take a moment to pause and think of the kids who died in Newtown. [02:49.48]They went so young, who gave their lives. [02:55.28]To make us stop and think and try to get it right. [03:04.59]Were so young, a cloud so dark over them. [03:11.28]And they left home, gave their mom and dad a kiss and a hug. [03:19.43]So when your birthday comes and you're feeling pretty good, [03:25.80]baking cakes and opening gifts and stuffing your mouth with food. [03:36.35]Check it off for the children who lost their lives. [03:44.05]Think of their families and how they mourn and cry. [03:51.31]When you're gonna get married and you're out shopping around, [03:57.74]take a moment to think about the families that lost so much in Newtown. [04:06.46]
