We went a-huntin' the other night Just me and my gal without a light, ha-ha! Man the moon was so pretty and the air so free And I couldn't help but to make whoopee And felt big, wanted to love Yeah man, had to neck a little too! Walkin' ahead we heard a snap And there she lay in a big steel trap She yelled aloud and she said I'm suing She started to twist and screw and scramblin' about She fell on a hill, she started to roll She couldn't stop to save her soul, ha-ha! Her eyes was bloodshot and her nose was red And she had a knot on her head Man it was a big knot too, it wasn't no little pimple Same song, the second verse, the third stanza, [? Well we started on and we came to a bog And to get across now we had to walk a log, ha Halfway over and one foot slipped Down in the mud, clear up to her hips, she fell, ha! I got her out and I dried her off She started to sneeze and cough, catching cold, felt miserable She looked at me like a cat would at the mice Her teeth would rattle like a pair of dice Throwing seven and eleven We started on, my dog's a-treed in a hollow log And down she squatted like a big bullfrog, ha-ha! The polecat sprayed her with a mess of fog And boy, boy, what a odor Had to put her in a barrel, bury her clothes Take her home that way too! Aw shuck, won't be long now The wine goes in, the truth comes out Two more shots and I'll tell it all May not believe what I say now But it's thousands of folks that has believed it While under the influence of swamp root, ha Aw shuck, cotton hose and brogan shoes She had powder on her nose, lipstick rouge Dresses made from flour sacks The name of flour stamped on her back in all kinds of brands Cheap stuff and holey too ha-ha! Aw shuck, ha-ha! Well we started home at the hour of twelve What happened to that ol' gal was hard to tell, ha Stockings down, the shoes won't lace She said "I come from a huntin' race"
