Poppy the bear Didn't have a care She played with her friends in the sunny summer rill They played Tag They played catch And hide and seek by the watermelon patch And the everyday was simple With laughter everywhere She made everybody happy Poppy the little brown bear Poppy the bear We stopped and stared At the flowers grow in the sunny summer rill She picked flowers in dirt and the daffodil And put them in a cup in the window sill And when the day was over Her dad would smile and say: I love you, little Poppy Now it's time to hit the hay It's getting late The clock's near eight It's time for Poppy to hibernate And when you wake You can play catch And hide and seek in the watermelon patch Poppy the bear Poppy the little brown bear
